Abstract Deadline: April 1, 2001
Abstracts for both
contributed talks and posters should be sent to: Dr. Stefano Boccaletti, Departamento de Fisica y
Matematica Aplicada, Universidad de Navarra, Irunlarrea s/n, 31080 Pamplona SPAIN (after
February 28th, 2001 the new address is Istituto Nazionale di Ottica Applicata, Largo E. Fermi, 6,
I50125 Florence, Italy). To be considered for inclusion in the program booklet, abstracts should
be received by April 1, 2001. After this date abstracts will be considered for poster presentations
only on a space-available basis. The abstract should be one-half of an 8.5" x 11" page in length
and should fit entirely within a 6" wide by 4.5" high rectangle. A 12-point serif font (preferably
Times or Times Roman) should be used. The title should be in capital letters and should begin 6
spaces from the left hand margin (to allow for the inclusion of a paper/poster number).
Separated from the title by a blank line should be the authors' names and affiliations, followed by
another blank line and then the body of the abstract. We request that all abstracts be
accompanied by an electronic copy, if possible.
The submission of abstracts and subsequent papers in
electronic form is strongly encouraged. Any common PC or Macintosh word processor format
(Microsoft Word, Wordperfect, etc.) may be used. 3.5" floppy or CD-ROM disk formats may be
used, as may e-mail using either plain text or standard MIME encoding; direct file transfer via
FTP is also available upon request. Pictures and graphs may be either embedded in the
document or included separately. It is recommended, but not required, that all electronic
submissions be accompanied by hard copy of the abstract/paper to aid in resolving formatting
questions.
The use of Microsoft Word 97 is strongly encouraged, since the abstract booklet will
be constructed in this format.
We regret that LaTeX and variants thereof are NOT acceptable due
to a lack of adequate translation software.
Please note that all invited and contributed oral presenters are required to
submit a manuscript for inclusion in the Proceedings.
We do not accept
papers based on poster presentations!
A copy of the Conference proceedings
will be presented to each paid regular (non-student rate) attendee at no additional charge. Extra
copies of the proceedings may be ordered at the Conference at a reduced rate.
