1. Fluid dynamics for physicists and geophysicists

2. An introduction to the theory of of fluid media is given, including the
derivation of the basis equations, examples of exact solutions, waves in
hydrodynamic systems, hydrodynamic instabilities and turbulence. Special
attention is paid to geophysical applications, such as flows in the terrestrial
atmosphere, the oceans and the Earth mantle.
