Zoran Levnajic, Statistical Physics / Theory of Chaos, Uni Potsdam Title: Ergodic Partition Theory and Visualization of Invariant Sets and Resonances in Dynamical Systems Time: Wed July 1, 2009, 1pm Place: Building 28, Room 2.100, Campus Golm, Universitaet Potsdam Abstract: In this talk I will present my work done as a graduate student at Univ. of California, Santa Barbara with prof. I. Mezic. We developed algorithms for visualization of invariant sets based on ergodic partitioning of the dynamical phase space. Furthermore, through spectral analysis of the Koopman operator, we constructed algorithms for visualizing resonances and periodic sets. With parallelly-processed codes, we were able to enhance the performance of our technique.
