A. Bergner, Institute of Physics, University of Potsdam Review on Linear Filters Abstract: Linear filters are an important tool in time series analysis or signal processing in general. This talk will recall the basic theory of linear filters, their properties and their design. Further some approaches in digital filter design will be reviewed which are not part of standard literature (e.g. Hilbert transformers and allpass sums).
