Venue

The sessions will take place in the Portego Room of Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti, one of the two landmark buildings of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti. Palazzo Franchetti is located right on the Grand Canal, next to the bridge to the Accademia galleries (Ponte dell'Accademia). As a major landmark, Accademia has its own vaporetto (water bus) station, and there are many direction signs to (Ponte dell')Accademia across Venice. If you get lost, ask for Accademia, but note that the Accademia galleries are on the other side of the wooden bridge from Palazzo Franchetti.

Accomodation. The conference hotel is the Cultural Centre Don Orione Artigianelli. It is located a three minutes walk from Palazzo Franchetti, across the Accademia bridge. The reservations we made for the meeting are closed now, but you might still ask them for vacancies through the above web page.
